Maturing Math Skills
Messalonskee Middle School students on Team Acadia have been spending a lot of time this fall problem solving and working through difficult multi-step math problems. They are strengthening their skills in communicating about math, how to engage in friendly discourse, and strategies to use while problem solving. Learners are becoming familiar with each other and understanding that taking risks is an important part of mathematics. Learners have played games, solved logic problems, and worked out math exercises at the vertical whiteboard spaces around the room. #WeAreRSU18
