Puzzles, Passion, and Problem-Solving Power
The Gifted and Talented program goes beyond academics, emphasizing lifelong health and well-being alongside rigorous learning. Through hands-on activities, students explored how puzzles benefit both the mind and body. By solving and playing with puzzles, they strengthened critical thinking skills while also supporting mental focus and physical movement. Students even took part in a life-size Sudoku puzzle and a giant crossword, turning problem-solving into an active, collaborative experience. These engaging activities helped reinforce healthy habits designed to last a lifetime.
That same spirit of enthusiasm and perseverance was on full display as the MMS Math Team competed in their second meet of the year. Mrs. Mahoney and Mrs. Herrick were incredibly proud of the team’s dedication, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills. Students worked together, supported one another, and demonstrated that math can be both challenging and fun. #WeAreRSU18
