Sixth Graders Visit Gulf of Maine Research Institute
Messalonskee Middle School sixth graders visited the Gulf of Maine Research Institute last Wednesday! Students rode in style to and from the institute (located in downtown Portland) in a chartered coach bus provided by GMRI. Once there, the students took on roles as researchers and scientists and were able to collect and record data on live lobsters. Students also completed microscopic observations of plankton, as well as virtual dissections of black sea bass. It was a great learning experience and a core memory for these 6th grade scientists! #WeAreRSU18
