STEMondays at MMS
Team Baxter is proud to announce that we have started STEMondays. Students participate in STEM activities that challenge their thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. The first one we did was a frozen fortress challenge in which students had to work together to plan and then build a structure out of marshmallows, popsicle sticks, plates, toothpicks, etc. that could withstand a “snowball” attack. In reflection, learners shared that they had to re-work many of their plans, think about how to design sturdy structures, and communicate about what (and why) they thought would work best.
