MMS leaf raking service project
Thursday was a very busy day for Messalonskee Middle School. After hosting an amazing Veteran’s Day Assembly at MHS, students grabbed their rakes and headed into town. This annual community service project is a time-honored MMS tradition where our students help local community members clear up their yards before the snow comes.
“Every homeowner I spoke with was fully impressed with our students, our work ethic, and our positive attitudes,” said MMS teacher Keith Mahoney. “We successfully helped 19 households in our community, bagged just about 300 bags of leaves, and moved a lot over tarps!”
