Great Kindness Challenge at MMS
All this week, students and staff at Messalonskee Middle School have been taking part in The Great Kindness Challenge, a kindness themed spirit week with activities based around being positive and encouraging to one another. The week-long challenge is designed to improve school climate and increase student engagement by encouraging acts of kindness around campus.
The student leadership team, Mrs. Haskell, and Ms. Croteau worked hard to come up with events for the Great Kindness Challenge. Each day of the week, a positive quote was read during the morning announcements. Kindness post-its were also put on all lockers.
Wednesday theme was Kindness Rocks day where students selected a rock to decorate with a positive, inspirational word or saying. Positive music was played during the morning paint time.
